How to select multiple items from a list

To select more than one item from a list press and hold the Ctrl key and click on the the items of your choice using the mouse.  Similarly, clicking on an already selected item while holding down the Ctrl key will deselect that item.

To select a large sequential list of item, select the first item, press and hold the Shift key and click on the last item.

For example, to select Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick and Ontario from the list of Provinces/Territories you can click on Alberta with the mouse, scroll to New Brunswick, click and hold the Shift key and click on New Brunswick;--his selects all item on the list from Alberta to New Brunswick-- then let go of the Shift key, click and hold the Ctrl key, scroll down to Ontario and click on it--this adds Ontario to the items already selected.

How to search for an item in a list
The easiest way to find an item in a sorted list is to press the key corresponding to the first letter of the name of the item--this will take you to the next item on the list that starts with that letter.  To go to the next item that starts with the same letter simply press the same key again.

For example, to find the Regency Auto Group on the list of companies you would press the letter r on your keyboard--this would take you to the first item on the list that starts with the letter r, i.e. Radical Entertainment.  Press r three more time and you would go through RBC Dominion Securities, REALM and end up highlighting Regency Auto Group.
